CARMAN, Man. — Manitoba RCMP say a semi driver is going through fees within the deaths of two folks after he allegedly drove right into a lineup of automobiles stopped in a development zone.
The collision occurred Thursday morning on Freeway 2 close to the small neighborhood of Fannystelle, about 60 kilometres southwest of Winnipeg.
Mounties say a number of automobiles had been stopped within the eastbound lane in a marked development zone, when the truck allegedly began a chain-reaction crash.
A seven-year outdated woman from Winnipeg, who was a passenger in a single car, and 61-year outdated man from the agricultural municipality of St. Andrews, who was on a motorbike, had been pronounced lifeless on the scene.
Fifteen others had been injured.
Two ladies, who’re 10 and 14, together with a 22-year-old lady, are in hospital with critical accidents.
The trucker, a 56-year-old man from Saskatchewan, is in custody and faces fees that embrace harmful driving inflicting dying and legal negligence inflicting dying.
